RESCUE DIVER COURSE
The PADI Rescue Diver Course is both rewarding and fun. This course will expand your knowledge and experience level: Rescue Divers learn to look beyond themselves and consider the safety and well being of other divers. Although this course is serious, it is an enjoyable way to build your confidence, and will ultimately mean that you can both help prevent problems and if necessary manage a dive emergency situation.
As most divers tend to dive with friends or family members, having the Rescue Diver qualification means you can be confident that you could help those people closest to you if a problem arose.

What you will do
During your Rescue Course you will learn to evaluate a dive accident situation in terms of your own skills and capabilities, the environmental conditions and available help, and the incident at hand.
To begin your rescue diver course you have to have a current first aid and CPR qualification.  Most people don’t have this and we therefore often combine an Emergency First Response (EFR) course with the Rescue Diver Course.
The EFR is classroom based and takes one day.  Prior to the course you will be given a course pack and will be asked to read through the book and do the knowledge reviews ready for the classroom session.  In the classroom you will take part in some basic theoretical emergency situations where you will learn how to administer first aid safely and calmly.  There are two parts to this course and once you have completed the final exam you will be ready to move on to the Rescue Diver Course.
