ADVANCED OPEN WATER DIVER
Advanced open water diver is the next step towards becoming a more confident and safe diver.  It will allow you to dive to deeper depths and to explore particular areas of diving that interest you such as photography,  wreck diving, night diving and many more.  The Advanced Open Water Course is also great as it is centred around being in the water and exploring different types of diving rather than being in the classroom! There are no exams for this course, it is pure fun and adventure in the water!
What you will do
The Advanced Open Water Course requires you to complete 5 different dives.  Two of these dives are core dives which everyone has to do.  These are Deep Dive and Navigation.  The other three that you do will be decided on by you and your instructor depending on environmental factors and your particular interests.
In the UK the Dry Suit speciality is a popular Advanced Open Water course to do as it means you will be more comfortable when diving in the cooler water and using a dry suite will increase the length of time you can spend under water.  Peak Performance buoyancy is also a course that we would recommend as it will make you more confident in the water and help you to control your buoyancy and therefore keep the environment you dive in untouched for future generations.
You will be required to read a chapter and complete a short knowledge review on each of the 5 dives you are doing on the course.  This is so you have a basic knowledge of the dives you are participating in.  Then it’s into the water for your next adventure.
