SHARK AWARENESS WEEK REPORT

11, 432 Sharks are murdered every hour - that equates to 3 sharks killed every second of the day, 365 days a year and this is done out in the open with nearly no actions to save them! Sharks are  apex predators and on the verge of extinction. This issue has now become as big a topic as ‘Climate Change’ and it is just pure ignorance that no is stopping the unnecessary murder.

The Aquatic Element Dive Centre was proud to organise and host Berkshire’s first Shark Awareness Week. The event was organised by Dr. John Carlin (Marine Biologist, AE Owner and a PADI Course Director) and Dale Bowie (AE Dive Club member). The Shark Awareness Week was an opportunity to make the general public aware of what was happening to sharks in our oceans.
