HOME / LATEST NEWS / AQUATIC ELEMENT FITNESS AQUATIC ELEMENT FITNESS PROGRAM The very first Aquatic Element Fitness Session took place on Sunday 27/02/10 (pop in to the Aquatic Element Dive Centre to see the video!). Caz from Green Box Coaching has devised a fitness program (open to anyone of any level of fitness) to increase Cardiovascular fitness (to improve breathing rates underwater), core strength (for lifting SCUBA units) and mobility (to put on and take equipment off). Six excited (and nervous) people (Julian, Martyn, Mark, Alun, Steve and myself) met at the Rugby pitches where after a series of stretching exercises proceeded to put us through our paces. There was much hilarity at the high levels of fitness we all have maintained! Caz was very good at pushing us to achieve more than we thought we could (and she even let Steve have a little lie down whenever he needed it!). It was an excellent session and we are looking forward to the next one on Sunday 28/03/10. |
